ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM • Every other weekend schedule required, typically 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) per month • May require up to 2 extra mandatory overtime shifts per 6-week period • Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, including cardiac experience • Must be willing to float to PCU and Med Surg as needed (travelers are first to float) • Experience required with IABP, Impella, CRRT, and Day 2/Day 3 post-op CABGs • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS • Nebraska or compact license required - active and in good standing • EPIC experience required • Pediatric experience highly preferred (PALS required for all) • Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for lower acuity patients • 10-bed ICU with average daily census of 5 patients • Common diagnoses include open hearts, CHF, COPD, overdoses, sepsis, CVAs with TPA, DKA, and some neuro cases • Care for adults and patients under 8 years of age (pediatric patients over 8 go to PCU/Med Surg unless requiring ICU level care) • Scrub colors: Navy blue, black, or charcoal grey • Must be punctual, clock out for lunch, and maintain good attendance (termination likely after 3 call-outs) • Work 1 major and 1 minor holiday • Level 3 trauma center in acute care setting Facility: This regional medical center operates a 10-bed intensive care unit that provides comprehensive critical care services including cardiac procedures and advanced life support.
