Registered Behavior Technician do and what type of people are you
looking for?A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works in
clinical or home settings under the supervision of Board Certified
Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to implement treatment plans for children
who have been diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). As a
behavioral technician, you'll work under a BCBA to create the most
impactful changes for our clients.ALC is searching for a highly
motivated, spirited, passionate, and lively Registered Behavior
Technician (BT) who will collaborate with experts and implement
best practice child-specific Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
programs, analyze data, and track client progress for children
diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our RBTs are the
front line and serve as a critical team member here at ALC and we
are looking for an individual that has a passion for working with
children and will put the needs of the children we work with first.
Our RBTs provide direct one-to-one (1:1) ABA therapy to 2 or more
clients and are required to collect accurate and immediate data
into our electronic data collection system (Central Reach). During
a therapy session, RBTs are responsible for keeping the child
engaged, the setup of incidental learning opportunities, teaching
appropriate play and social skills, and providing reinforcement for
desired behaviors. But don't fret! At ALC Our BCBAs, other
experienced RBTs, and Clinical Director will be there to help
provide direct and indirect support and guidance for the clients
you will work with, and support you along your entire career
journey.What if I'm not a Registered Behavioral Technician?Great
news! We can train you to become a Registered Behavior
Technician. There are 3 simple steps to reach your RBT
certification. While the steps are simple, earning your
certification takes work and dedication. To become an RBT,you must
complete the 40 hour coursework, pass the competency assessment and
then, take the certification exam. But ALC will be there to help
guide and support you every step of the way.Individuals that have
worked in child care or daycare environments as teachers,
directors, or those who have worked in a school based setting such
as special education, early childhood development, Headstart
programs or as a paraprofessional have great experience and
acquired skills to aid in becoming a great RBT. But even if you
don't have that experience, if you like children, have a passion to
help others, and truly want to make a difference in the life of a
neurodiverse child, then being an RBT is a great career choice.RBT
