Experience with CAD/CAM software is needed, and having a background with both design and build practices in manufacturing would be helpful. Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience teaching/training and assessing student progress would be beneficial. Safety will be at the highest priority while providing quality education to our students.General SummaryInstructor position (175-day contract). As a full-time instructor in Advanced Manufacturing Design Technology (AMDT) teaching at the new Kearney Learning Center, the successful candidate can expect to teach a variety of courses in AMDT ranging from safety and blueprint reading to basic manual lathe and mill to CNC courses. Safety is a top priority while delivering top-notch Advanced Manufacturing Design expertise for our students. The courses in the General Manufacturing and CNC Manufacturing certificates are scheduled to be offered in Kearney. The AMDT program in Kearney offers (2) certificates and (1) diploma within the AMDT program. Instructors teach through a variety of delivery methods to a wide range of student backgrounds and interests including high school and non-traditional students. The instructor will need to become dual-certified (college will help). Classes may be offered in a variety of days, evenings (main focus), and possible weekends.
