A relatively high level of analytical ability is required for curriculum development and course design aligned with Concepts of Universal Design and Quality Matters, for advising and/or referring students, preparing course plans, and/or other activities.
A substantial level of interpersonal skills to provide guidance and referrals for students regarding sensitive issues.
Must have knowledge of Instructional Technology and college software to include: Microsoft Word, Instructional Design Program (WIDS), Moodle, Web-Ex, etc.
Applicants must have strong interpersonal, oral and written skills.
The knowledge and experience in teaching a diverse student population enrolled in academic transfer and career and technical programs.
Ability to teach courses over a variety of offering times from morning through evening, and possibly weekends.

General Summary
Instruction of Mathematics and Physics that include: Applied Calculus, Occupational Math, Elementary/Intermediate/College Algebra, Analytic Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, Physics, and Pre-Engineering courses. The instructor will collaborate with the Dean, Associate Dean and, as appropriate, the program director in order to assist students in accessing, learning and attaining educational goals; facilitate learning by providing varied learning experiences and teaching in instructional modalities for a diverse student population, as assigned. Furthermore, Instructor will professionally represent the college, its role, and mission, including recruiting. The instructor will meet the education and work experience standards set forth in the job specifications. The instructor will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include: curriculum development, assessment of student learning, course revision and redesign, student advising, and utilization of modern teaching strategies and techniques for servicing a diverse student population.
Criminal Justice Instructor
Requires a Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Juris Doctorate (JD) or related discipline with at least two (2) years of Law Enforcement or related criminal justice industry experience. A bachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related discipline with five (5) years of relevant work experience within the field of criminal justice and working towards a Master's degree or Juris Doctorate will be considered. Ideal candidates will have worked in the Criminal Justice Field and can bring real-life experience in to the classroom setting in both lecture and online/distance learning classes. Prior college teaching experience is desired along with a passion for teaching and energy to bring a student-focused attitude. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills, computer skills, ability to work with a diverse student population, an engaging teaching style and a variety of teaching methods. Requires flexibility with classes throughout the week to include days, evenings and on-line throughout a two-semester academic year (Summer semester is available upon student need). Must be able to work independently and be willing to build relationships with community organizations and members alongside their teaching responsibilities.
General Summary
Seeking a Full-Time instructor to teach Criminal Justice courses at our Grand Island, NE Campus. The individual will need to be open to teaching courses on our Hastings Campus and Kearney Center as student demand increases. Currently, the Criminal Justice Program is available on all campuses and centers utilizing technology platforms for exceptional delivery. Courses will be delivered with a focus in Lecture style-Internet Protocol/Satellite courses and will include various methods such as traditional lectures and web-based formats (Online, WebEx, Hybrid, Web-Blended, etc…). Program support activities, reporting assignments, student advising, curriculum design, promotion & recruiting, participation with various adjunct faculty from all campuses/centers and committee participation will be required. Position requires the following core instructional duties; but not limited to:

Update assigned program courses, outlines, and curriculum.
Prepare materials for assigned courses.
Participate in the selection of textbooks for assigned courses.
Maintain an awareness of recent research developments and trends in education and the program area and apply this information to assigned courses.
Provide instruction in technology appropriate to the job market.
Use a variety of methods and materials to deliver assigned courses that may include individualized, lectures, discussions, web-based classes, multimedia materials in the classroom, etc.
Use a variety of teaching methods to meet course goals and objectives that may include hands-on, problem-based, project-based, team teaching, professional speakers, tours, etc.
Integrate student assessment into student learning activities and curriculum.
Complete Assessment of Student learning report, Program Review and Universal Design compliance within the Criminal Justice program

Instructional Design Consultant
Required
Knowledge about curriculum, instruction, administration, and educational programming in order to understand instructional methods, curriculum development, etc. typically acquired through a combination of 3-5 years or more of designing, developing, and implementing curriculum; teaching at a post-secondary or secondary level; and completion of a master's degree in teaching, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or related area. Requires substantial interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain positive, confidential, collegial relationships with faculty and administrators. Requires travel among campuses and learning centers to work with faculty.
General Summary
Provides consultation and support services in instructional design, strategies, assessment, technology, and in the implementation and delivery of courses and curriculum. Serves as a curriculum and program design consultant college-wide. Works with faculty at all instructional locations to plan, develop, and implement learning opportunities that help students achieve success. Supports faculty in the implementation of Quality Matters and Universal Design for Learning standards for courses and program materials. Identifies education technology needs and provides multi-modal learning opportunities for faculty. Provides leadership, consultation, and support for faculty development initiatives.

General Summary
Instructor position (175-day contract). As a full-time instructor in Advanced Manufacturing Design Technology (AMDT) teaching at the new Kearney Learning Center, the successful candidate can expect to teach a variety of courses in AMDT ranging from safety and blueprint reading to basic manual lathe and mill to CNC courses. Safety is a top priority while delivering top-notch Advanced Manufacturing Design expertise for our students. The courses in the General Manufacturing and CNC Manufacturing certificates are scheduled to be offered in Kearney. The AMDT program in Kearney offers (2) certificates and (1) diploma within the AMDT program. Instructors teach through a variety of delivery methods to a wide range of student backgrounds and interests including high school and non-traditional students. Instructor will need to become dual-certified (college will help). Classes may be offered in a variety of days, evenings (main focus), and possible weekends. Instructors are actively involved in program recruitment, advising, and assessment student process through program outcomes and awards.
