MIQ/OJT Supervisor is responsible for managing and sustaining the
M-IQ (manufacturing intelligence) program and for arranging,
current and future, training for individuals or groups within the
framework of the On-The-Job-Trainer (OJT) program. Advises
employees and management on appropriate training courses. Monitors
the progress of M-IQ and OJT programs. Maintain accurate training
records. Manages location training costs and maintains budget
control for all training activities. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:Participates in
the Smithfield Way MIQ regarding implementation and deployment,
sustains the M-IQ through performance management, tier meetings,
actions, and the weekly report.Assist in the problem-solving
process (A3) and maintain the records.Maintain focus on people by
managing records and top "porkformance".Manage the program maturity
assessments.Supervise and coach the location specific OJT training
staff; schedule hours; vacations; and monitor performance.Manages
OJT location budget.Guide the OJT location team to train and coach
new and existing employees on job-specific topics, work
instructions, and SOP(standard operating procedures).Review OJT
training and revise the training approach to help improve
retention.Leads the communication for the location specific MIQ and
OJT program to plant leadership.Provide feedback to the Production
Supervisor regarding tier meeting audits, and progress report
information to be communicated to employees.Assure all new
employees receive necessary training to perform assigned jobs
safely and according to position responsibilities.Utilize the
training platform to conduct training, track and report the
training activity.Maintain the OJT program trainers' competency
tracker and the location specific employee skills matrix.Maintain
the documentation for MIQ weekly reporting, completing tier meeting
audits, perform Gemba walks, where applicable engage in problem
solving teams, and maintain MIQ tenets.Assist in on-boarding of new
employees by leading tours and distributing and train on PPE use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant
experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience,
required.Experience acting as a lead by providing training,
coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing
a process or project.Ability to motivate, train and coach employees
to encourage optimum performance and engagement.Strong critical
thinking and problem-solving skills.Bilingual a plus - Excellent
oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft
Windows, Excel, Word and Power Point software.Ability to work well
with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be
respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong
working relationships and a positive work environment. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities
include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding
and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in
