combined honest efforts create. As a CDL Driver , you will be
responsible for delivering lumber and building materials to the job
sites and customer warehouses accurately, safely, and on time. As a
Driver for our company, you will have the opportunity to be home
each evening and on weekends. You will work closely with customers,
fellow team-members, and supervisors to guarantee projects are
completed to company standards. This position is a member of the
warehouse team. As such, to help others when the workload demands,
treating teammates with respect, performing work in a safe manner
and being concerned about the safety of others is required.
Assisting in yard and warehouse with stocking, loading and
organizing materials, as necessary. This position requires patience
and steadiness, along with a team-work mentality to build solid
relationships based on trust and competence. CDL Driver
Responsibilities: Ensure safe and timely loading and unloading
products; secures loads with belts and protects loads by tarping as
necessary; and ensures accurate deliveries. Maintains paperwork as
necessary on deliveries and returns. Conducts all driving in a safe
and courteous manner at all times including exiting and entering
the yard, driving on public roads and delivering product to
customer facilities. Drives company vehicle to deliver lumber,
building materials, hardware and other building and maintenance
supplies to customer's home, construction site or place of
business. Maintains a current, correct and legal logbook,
performing all required pre and post trip inspections on vehicle.
Promptly reports all truck maintenance issues and/or equipment
failures. Provides outstanding customer service and processes and
communicates customer issues. Answer questions and briefly converse
with the customers to establish friendly business relations without
interfering with business operations of the customers. Assists
unloading by removing tarps and belts assuring that correct product
is removed from the trailer. Maintains the cleanliness and
appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles;
performing minor maintenance of equipment as required. Presents
personal appearance as pleasant, neat and clean as a representative
of Weekes. Attend Drivers Safety Meetings as required. Provides
quality/damage inspection of product at loading and unloading
stages. Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight
distribution practices. Performs other work-related duties as
assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to
changes that will occur during employment. CDL Driver Benefits

Requirements: Willing to jump in and roll up your sleeves to help
out when necessary Follow company policies and procedures Properly
use and maintenance equipment Class A CDL, with a clean driving

Lead by example, with first-hand knowledge of area of expertise
Support a fast-paced environment with multiple projects going
simultaneously 3 years of prior commercial driving experience Must
be able to sit, walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods
of time throughout the workday Must be able to life, carry, push or
pull up to 50 pounds Working knowledge of DOT regulations
Lumber/Building materials handling experience a plus Flatbed
experience preferred Forklift experience preferred This job
