Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Schuyler, NE Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,128 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/25/2026 About the Position ID: 76481286 Shift: 12H Nights 12 hr nights Description: Unit Notes:MAY START ONLYFloat to ED as needed* *MUST HAVE ED EXPERIENCE*Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles. * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contractDepartment: Med / Tele Swing Unit*Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS of Beds: 10- Ratios: Typically 1:3-4- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, occasional peds, All-Majority of Census is Swing bed needing Iv abx, therapy or wound care. Medical patients vary : Diabetic, pancreatitis, pneumonia, etc- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:8- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1900, 1830-0700 // Self scheduling with manager approving- Weekend Requirements: At least every 3rd, at times every other- Holiday Requirements: Rotation per unit needs- Floating Requirements: Can float to ED to be back up help if volumes surg- Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided?: Navy Blue- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 days- Additional Notes: Attributes that help a nurse be successful in this department include: willingness to jump in and help wherever needed- we are a small team and that is a game changer for teamwork approach.
