Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Grand Island, NE Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $1,643 to $1,843 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Grand Island, NE where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Current Nebraska state respiratory therapist license in good standing. At least 2 years of recent relevant respiratory therapist experience preferred. Candidates with a minimum of 1 year as an RRT will be considered; 2 years preferred. Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA). NRP preferred. Competence with ventilator management, nebulizer administration, rapid response and code blue procedures across all age groups. Experience with MEDITECH charting system. Ability to work independently and provide patient assessment and treatment recommendations. Driver’s license required at submittal to verify radius rule compliance (50-mile radius). Compliance with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Unit: Respiratory Care Department. Primary specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist. Shift name: Days. Shift pattern: 3x12 day shifts per week. Orientation: 12 hours. Assignment length: 13 weeks with initial schedule on days; if extended, schedule may change to nights. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Charting system: MEDITECH. Scope of duties: general respiratory care, pre/post surgical and ED response, ventilator management, nebulizer therapy, rapid response and code blue participation across all age groups. Radius and employer restrictions: candidates may not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity; 50-mile radius rule applies. Cancellation policy: hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment.
