Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Holdrege, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,118 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Mother/Baby, Med-surg Adult, Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state Certifications: Current BLS certification, Current ACLS certification, Current NRP certification (for RNs assigned to the Obstetrics Department) Must-Have: Labor and delivery experience Description: The Registered Nurse manages, organizes, and administers nursing care for patients of all ages under the supervision of the Physician. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state, and local laws as well as internal policies is a condition of employment. The incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation: Assesses data regarding the patient's physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs based upon the patient's age and development, for patients of all ages. Reports and documents all observed symptoms, reactions, and changes in the patient's condition. Utilizes the nursing process to direct and deliver patient care. Develops, implements, revises, and evaluates a formal plan of care. Administers medications using the "Five Rights of Medication Administration." Provides and instructs patients and/or their families with educational information appropriate for age and learning abilities. Creates and maintains a comfortable and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors. Organizes and prioritizes daily assignments to provide optimal patient care. Demonstrates competency annually in assigned areas of work. Maintains patient and employee confidentiality at all times. Complies with the Code of Conduct. For those serving in Charge Nurse capacity: Assigns licensed and non-licensed staff to care for patients according to patient needs and skill level of available staff. Coaches staff to develop and demonstrate appropriate problem-solving behaviors and teaches methods to improve decision-making skills. Identifies opportunities to improve performance and leads or participates in performance improvement teams. Recognizes life-threatening patient complications and responds immediately by initiating and participating in emergency procedures. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments, and staff. Physical demands include regular use of hands for tasks, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking are required. Occasionally, reaching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or balancing is necessary. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally, the employee works with explosive, toxic, or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The level of risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens is classification (I), as outlined in safety policies. Required education includes a Bachelor's degree (B.S.N.), Associate's degree (A.D.N.), or Diploma from an accredited college of nursing.
