ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Stepdown Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM • Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts • Every other weekend requirement • Minimum of 2 holidays required within contract timeframe • Floating required to Med/Surg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Must be competent in arterial lines • Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin • Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently • Navy blue scrubs required • One day of unit-specific orientation provided • Must pass open book exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% score requirement • Care for adult patients with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular conditions, sepsis, respiratory issues, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, and renal failure • Work with overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners • EPIC charting system used • Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities • Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas • Driver's license required at submittal • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit with an average daily census of 24 patients.
