ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU -
Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Kearney,
Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU -
Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration:
13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment
Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour
shifts: 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM • Every other
weekend schedule with typically 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
per month, may be more depending on unit needs • May require up to
2 extra mandatory overtime shifts per 6 weeks • Patient ratios: 1:1
or 1:2 for lower acuity patients • Float to PCU and Med Surg as
needed based on census (travelers are first to float) • Work in
10-bed ICU with average daily census of 5 patients • Care for
adults and patients under age 8 (pediatric patients over 8 go to
PCU/Med Surg unless requiring ICU level care) • Common patient
diagnoses include open heart surgeries, CHF, COPD, overdoses,
sepsis, CVAs with TPA, DKA, and some neurology cases • Experience
with IABP, Impella, CRRT, and Day 2/Day 3 post-op CABGs required •
Must have minimum 2 years ICU experience including cardiac
experience • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS • EPIC
charting system experience required • Nebraska or compact license
required (active and in good standing) • Dress code: Navy blue,
black, or charcoal grey scrubs • Strict attendance policy -
termination likely after 3 call-outs • Must clock out for lunch and
be punctual • Work 1 major and 1 minor holiday • Participate in
TeleStroke program Facility: This regional medical center operates
as a Level 3 trauma facility providing comprehensive acute care
services to the surrounding community. The facility features a
well-equipped 10-bed intensive care unit known for excellent
teamwork and collaborative care. The ICU specializes in cardiac
care, including open heart procedures, and offers advanced
technologies such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT. The facility
maintains a TeleStroke program and provides care for both adult and
pediatric patients requiring intensive care services. Location:
