Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement with minimum of 2 holidays during contract timeframe • 33-bed ICU with average daily census of 16 patients • Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2-3 for adults • Care for trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress patients • Required to titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications • Must read, interpret, and document telemetry strips with GE monitoring system • Float to PCU and occasionally MedSurg with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 • One shift of unit-specific orientation provided • Must pass open book skills exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% or higher score • Epic charting system used • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Valid driver's license required and must reside outside 50-mile radius • Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract) Facility: This Level 2 trauma center provides comprehensive acute care services with a 33-bed intensive care unit. The facility maintains modern equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen systems, with respiratory therapy support and healthcare support technicians available.
