Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Adult ICU RN for a high-acuity unit caring for trauma, cardiac, and critically ill adult patients. This is an excellent opportunity for ICU nurses who are confident with drips, telemetry, and complex patient care. Unit Details: - 33-bed ICU (avg census: 16) - Ratios: 1:2–3 - Common diagnoses include trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, vascular, renal failure, overdose, and respiratory distress Shifts: - Days: 06:30–18:30 - Nights: 18:30–06:30 - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend - Holiday requirement: 2 holidays per contract Requirements: ? Active RN license ? BLS, ACLS, NIHSS ? ICU experience with titration of cardiac, insulin & sedation drips ? Telemetry interpretation (GE monitors) Important Policies (Please Read): - 50-mile radius enforced (DL required at submission) - Candidates may NOT be employed (FT/PT/PRN) with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health - Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas - Open-book pass/fail exam during orientation (90% required) Floating: - PCU (most common) - Occasional Med-Surg (ratios maintained at 1:4–1:5) Support: - Nurse Aides & sitters based on census - Healthcare Support Tech (M–F, days) - RT support available Scheduling Notes: - Block scheduling not guaranteed - No duo travelers or shared schedules - RTO must be submitted upfront (max 7 days) Apply now for quick profile review and unit manager interview.
