Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Grand Island, NE Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,416 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Grand Island, Nebraska, 68803! ID: 75321653 Shift: 12H Nights 12 hr nights Description: Unit Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Department: LDRP RN*Certifications Required: BLS, NRP*minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience*400 births a year- of L&D Beds: 15 LDRP beds- of Postpartum beds: 15 LDRP beds- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:3, 1:1 for laboring patients- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Obstetrics, post-partum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, pregnancy with HTN or diabetes- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin, Mag, ProcardiaWe don't float unless it was critical staffing which is very rare and then floating would only be to sit or do task.- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: No- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: No- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts, 6-7. Manager will complete schedule.- Weekend Requirements: Every other- Holiday Requirements: Yes - if there is a need- Is there a call or standby requirement?: No- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week of classroom and then 2-3 shifts on the floor- Additional Notes: The unit is Blue Distinction for patient care with high patient experience scores. Breast feeding friendlyRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
