2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse

Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Must have experience with
obstetrics and postpartum care Description: Unit has 15 labor and
delivery and 15 postpartum beds. Cares for obstetric, postpartum,
antepartum, and post-surgical GYN patients. Nurses follow AWHONN
guidelines for patient ratios. Patient to nurse ratio is 1:3 and
1:1 for laboring patients. Nurses are required to titrate drips
including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia. Nurses do not float
unless there is critical staffing, and floating may be limited to
task completion. Each shift has a Charge Nurse who also takes a
patient assignment. Registered Nurses are not required to
troubleshoot respiratory equipment but are expected to monitor
their patients. No Tele/Monitor Techs are available on unit, and
nurses read their own telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled by
management with weekend and holiday commitments required. No call
or standby requirement is needed. Unit is recognized for high
patient experience scores and is designated as breastfeeding
friendly. Request for time off must be submitted upfront, with
specific limitations on additional requests. This unit follows a
cancellation policy for scheduled shifts. Charting is conducted
using an electronic system. Requirements Required for Onboarding
