ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Stepdown Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM • Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts • Every other weekend requirement • Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Must be competent in arterial lines • Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin • Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently • Floating required to MedSurg or ICU for PCU acuity patients • Navy blue scrub color requirement • One day of unit-specific orientation provided • Must pass open book exam during orientation with 90% score to continue • Care for adult patients with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, respiratory, stroke, post stent, and post pacer placement diagnoses • Work with equipment including overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, bladder scanners, and high flow oxygen • EPIC charting system • Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility • Artificial nails prohibited • Driver's license required for submission • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract) Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with an average daily census of 24 patients.
