Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Grand Island, NE Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,666 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 15 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified OR RN in Grand Island, Nebraska, 68803! ID: 74607762 Shift: 8H Days 8 hour days plus call Description: Unit Notes:NEED 3'S AND 4'S in Neuro and experience in all service lines Experience or 'Must have' skills: Staff must be well versed on all surgical procedures since we don't have specialized teams for each service lineRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Department: OR (RN)*Certifications Required: BLS & ACLS of Suites: 7 ORs, 2 Endo suites- Common Cases: Adults, geriatrics, Peds, Obstetric. Neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general, Davinci robotics- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Staff must be well versed on all surgical procedures since we don't have specialized teams for each service line- Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge nurse- OR techs?: Yes- EMR: EPIC- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1500 // All staff are scheduled 5 days a week- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1 night a week on call- Weekend/Call Requirements: Every 5th or 6th weekend (Sat/Sun) on call- Holiday/Call Requirements: Rotating holiday call- Floating Requirements: Pre/Post op, PACU if trained, ER for trauma cases- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week in the OR- Additional Notes: Core staff here have a lot of longevity in the hospital and department.
