Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - PACU /n/n Job Details: /n • Manage, organize and administer nursing care for patients of all ages under physician supervision /n• Assess patient data regarding physical, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions based on age and development /n• Utilize the nursing process to direct and deliver patient care, including developing, implementing, revising and evaluating formal care plans /n• Administer medications using the "Five Rights of Medication Administration" /n• Provide patient and family education appropriate for age and learning abilities /n• Assist Operating Practitioner and CRNA during procedures /n• Participate in sterilization, stocking and case set-up activities /n• Prepare and clean rooms, instruments and supplies as scheduled /n• Responsible for rotation of call coverage as assigned /n• Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties as assigned /n• Assist in Sterile Processing and endoscopy procedures /n• Organize and prioritize daily assignments to provide optimal patient care /n• Must lift and move up to 40 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds /n• Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock /n• Required education: Bachelor's degree (BSN), Associate's degree (ADN) or diploma from accredited nursing school /n• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska /n• Current BLS/CPR certification required /n• Current ACLS certification required /n• Must maintain BLS certification and complete required in-services and continuing education /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with modern operating rooms and post-anesthesia care units.
