Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Position: Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) Location: [Lexington, Nebraska] Shift: 12-Hour Days (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM) Schedule: Rotating nights and weekends (shared among team) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and flexible Respiratory Therapist (RRT or well-qualified CRT) to join our collaborative respiratory care team. This is a day shift role with rotating night and weekend on-call duties, providing comprehensive care for patients across all age groups — from deliveries to geriatrics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a wide range of respiratory procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including ER coverage and neonatal assistance during C-sections. Responsibilities - Perform respiratory therapy procedures such as nebulizer treatments, inhaler administration, and incentive spirometry. - Assist with ABGs, BiPAP, ventilator management, and NeoPuff during C-sections. - Provide care to patients across ER, ICU, and outpatient settings. - Accurately document all treatments and procedures in Cerner EMR. - Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for nights and weekends. Requirements - Licensure: - Active Nebraska Respiratory Care License - NBRC Certification (RRT or CRT) - Certifications (through AHA): - BLS – Basic Life Support - ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support - PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support - NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Experience: - Prior hospital experience preferred (Critical Access or rural hospital experience a plus) - Comfort working with all age groups Details - Charting System: Cerner - Patient Population: Deliveries, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics - Equipment: ABGs, BiPAP, vents (infrequent), NeoPuff, nebulizers, inhalers, etc. “We are an equal opportunity employer.
