NurseCertifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of
hire - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months
of hire - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of
hire - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within one year
of hire - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred or ability
to obtain within 6 months of hire - ICS 100 and 200 or ability to
obtain within 12 months of hire Must-Have: Ability to float to
Medical/Surgical unit; Acute care experienceJob Description: Plan
and coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care for patients in
the emergency department and acute care- Provide, delegate, and
evaluate patient care and response- Collaborate with the
interdisciplinary team- Maintain standards for professional nursing
practice- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and/or other support
staff in the delivery of patient care- Initiate patient assessment
and reassessment based on needs- Develop nursing care plans and
identify priorities for care- Coordinate and provide patient care
while synthesizing pertinent patient data- Demonstrate knowledge
and skill in nursing theory and practice across the lifespan- Learn
and develop competence in multiple hospital settings, including
medical/surgical, pediatric, neonatal, emergency, and skilled care-
Implement therapeutic and supportive interventions- Evaluate
patient progress and respond to care interventions- Document
patient care and facilitate transitions to the next level of care -
Demonstrate knowledge of regulations and treatment protocols for
trauma patient stabilization and transfer- Participate in continued
