Job Title: CT/Rad Technologist Profession: Technologist

Certifications: BLS required, ARRT (R) required Must-Have: CT
training with ability to perform independently Description:
Performs radiography procedures including X-Ray, CT, Mammography,
Ultrasound, and Dexa. Maintains electronic health records and
utilizes PACS and RIS programs. Available to return to the facility
for Radiology procedures during a 24-hour call period within a
30-minute response time. Maintains and documents patient records,
exams, and files accurately. Equipment utilized includes computers
for Electronic Health Record use, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm,
Mammography, CT, and Ultrasound equipment. A power injection system
is used for CT contrast injections. Technologist must be able to
perform Radiology exams, often unsupervised. May occasionally lift
and/or move up to 75 pounds. May need to stand, walk, reach with
hands and arms, climb or balance, stop, kneel, or crouch.
Preferably trained and proficient in intravenous catheter
placement. Candidates must have a Bachelor or Associate Degree in
Radiology Technology. All "on call" shifts are split evenly among
the technologists. Radiology staff may perform portable radiology
exams in patient rooms, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery
Room, or Operating Room. There are 5 rooms to maintain: a
technologist work area, R&F room, CT room, Mammography room,
and Ultrasound room. Dress code consists of medical scrubs in good,
clean condition. Scrubs may be in any color. Technologist will
undergo on-site Radiology Department staff training and complete a
checklist with the Radiology Supervisor or staff.
