  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night ICU RN's.
  • 13 Weeks, Every other Weekend/Holiday.
  • Open Heart Trained.
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
    • Must be flexible and willing to float and work when needed.
    • Will not approve blocked scheduling or same schedule/shifts.
    • Nurses are required to titrate drips.
    • Common titratable &/or set rate drips include any cardiac drip, insulin, sedation.
    • Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are 0630-1830, 1830-0630.
      • Self-scheduling for core staff, travelers added in.
      • Unable to guarantee block scheduling.
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other.
      • Holiday Requirements: Rotating based on weekend group.
      • Floating Requirements: Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg.
      • Number of shifts for unit/department specific orientation: 3 shifts.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Number of Beds: 33 beds, average daily census is 16.
        • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 for adults, 1:2-4 for Peds.
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients include Adults and Pediatrics, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress.
        • Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630 available.
        • RT Equipment used: Nasal cannula to vent, RNs required to troubleshoot.
        • Tele/Monitor Techs: RNs required to read their own strips.
          • Additional Details
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
