Ryzec Building Group has the experience to do the job well & the dedication to ensure the job is done right. We are currently looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join our team. Primary Purpose of Role: The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position provides both technical and administrative support to the project management and field teams, ensuring efficient communication, document control, and coordination among all project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. Essential Responsibilities: Manage project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes. Track project progress, schedules, and deliverables; assist with updates and reporting. Coordinate communication between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff. Support permitting, safety documentation, and compliance tracking. Assist with billing processes, pay applications, and cost tracking. Organize and maintain accurate digital and physical project files for easy retrieval and audit readiness. Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability. Participate in jobsite coordination meetings; prepare meeting notes and follow-up action items. Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in monitoring field progress and resolving technical issues. Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to meet schedule milestones. Assist in subcontractor buyout, scope review, and cost comparison. Contribute to project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-builts, and warranty documentation. Knowledge & Skill: Degree in construction or equivalent experience with a solid understanding of the industry 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, ideally in a project engineering or coordination capacity. Ability to work under pressure & coordinate numerous activities & groups of people simultaneously. Quick thinking, motivated individual willing to learn our business & our clients. Ability to read & interpret detailed blueprints. Familiar with value engineering a set of construction documents Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Experienced in construction specific software (i.e. Redteam, Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheets, Bluebeam, Procore, Plangrid, etc.) to effectively organize & manage the project process Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract administration. Ability to adapt to changing demands & priorities Excellent oral & written communication skills. Work Environment: General construction Travel- 25% Weekend work Ability to lift 50 lbs. Work Schedule: Varies Position Level: Construction Management Team.
