Description:Heartwell Renewables is a unique joint venture
between affiliates of The Love's Family of Companies and Cargill to
produce and market renewable diesel. Heartwell Renewables is the
only entity of its kind to both manufacture and distribute this
fuel all the way to the retail pump. The?Love's Family of
Companies, Cargill?and their affiliates have entered this unique
50/50 joint venture to produce and market renewable diesel - a
green fuel experiencing strong, rising demand. The joint venture
will result in the construction of a new production plant in
Hastings, Nebraska. There will be an excess of 500 workers during
construction and more than 80 permanent jobs in Hastings, Nebraska.
The plant will have the ability to produce approximately 80 million
gallons annually of renewable diesel. When considering the
environmental benefits and performance enhancements of renewable
diesel, the creation of Heartwell Renewables is a long-term win for
not only the companies involved, but also for Nebraska, consumers,
and the environment. JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACTThe Process Optimization
Engineer will provide strategic operational guidance and direction
for production and operating processes and be a subject matter
authority for assigned specialty matters. In this role, you will
oversee and ensure operating processes adhere to standards for
safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial
performance. You will also develop, implement, and maintain
processes and programs built to ensure compliance with existing
federal, state and local environmental regulations and requirements
for operations.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESImplement and monitor compliance
programs to site standards and goals.Promote a safety culture
through training and education solutions related to operational
issues and risks.Prepare and execute audits on internal and
external operating and regulatory procedures on production safety
including strategic and tactical execution in alignment with
corporate environment, health and safety, quality and regulatory
functions and government regulations.Monitor general operations
metrics, maintenance of plant equipment and quality management
goals to ensure customer, product and quality standard requirements
are met. Identify gaps to these standards, lead team in determining
root cause and developing appropriate corrective actions.Prepare,
administer, and control capital and operating budgets to achieve
short- and medium-term financial performance objectives set by the
business to ensure accountability for meeting and controlling
operating expenses and established targets.Identify and review
hazards, risks and opportunities on an ongoing and proactive basis
and conduct incident investigations to ensure that appropriate
follow up actions are being implemented.Develop plans and deliver
results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment,
while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals
and supervisors, coaching, and making decisions related to talent
management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will
also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization
to ensure staff selections align with current and future

QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
experienceMinimum of five years of related work experienceWilling
to relocate to Nebraska and work on site in Hastings, NEComfortable
working in an industrial work environment that may include loud
areas, work at heights, entry into confined spaces, and other
potential chemical/atmospheric hazards that require use of
appropriate PPE.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong scientific and
mathematical skillsExperience leading/supervising a team or
individualsPRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCESProvide operational
leadership to audit, inspection, and risk assessment
processes.Directly monitor production outcomes, quantity, and
quality to ensure customer requirements are within
specifications.Oversee operations for multiple departments or
processes and shifts and ensure direct reports follow policies and
procedures related to employee and product safety and environmental
compliance. Experience in Renewable/Bio Diesel, Steam reformation,
Oil and Gas Industry, Vegetable Oil refining, Hydro processing and
or a PSM regulated facilityKEY BEHAVIORSMakes sense of complex,

processes operate safely and in compliance with regulatory and
organizational safety and environmental program standards and
