Job Description:
At US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor, we are seeking
an experienced Fleet and Facilities Manager to ensure efficient
operation and coordination of our fleet of delivery vehicles and
maintenance activities across our facilities. This role is pivotal
in maintaining the integrity of our delivery operations as well as
upholding the safety and functionality of our facilities. The Fleet
and Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing a broad
range of activities including vehicle maintenance programs,
facility management, and compliance with relevant regulations,
contributing directly to the success of US Foods. Develop and
implement vehicle maintenance schedules across all company assets
to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency Manage the
maintenance, repair, and operational strategies for facilities to
meet health, safety, and environmental standards Liaise with
department heads to ensure fleet and facilities meet the needs of
the business and propose upgrades and improvements Oversee the
cost-effective procurement of fleet and facility maintenance
supplies and services Ensure compliance with state and federal
regulations regarding transportation and environmental standards
Monitor and report on fleet usage and maintenance activities to
senior management Lead, train, and manage the fleet and facilities
maintenance teams effectively Strong leadership and strategic
planning abilities Excellent organizational and problem-solving
skills In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and vehicle
maintenance Proficiency in using fleet management and facility
management software Strong financial acumen for budgeting and cost
management Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of
staff and management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified in Transportation and
Logistics (CTL) or equivalent Facility Management Professional
(FMP) or a related certification is advantageous
