Duties: Perform skilled facility maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, flooring, drywall, electrical, plumbing, locksmithing, and painting. Install, repair, and maintain locks, and security hardware throughout the facility. Oversee preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure a safe, secure, and functional environment. Supervise inmate maintenance porters while maintaining accountability of tools and work areas. Complete building alterations and repairs, including framing, concrete finishing, and flooring. Assist with seasonal duties such as lawn care and snow removal. Requirements/Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade. Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency. Other: Must have valid driver's license. Must be able to work an on-call rotation. Must be able to lift 50lbs with assistance.
